Grandma's 80th Birthday

My dear Grandma (Hales) Oracko aka Eva Dee turned 80 years young on May 2 of this year!! I couldn't believe it... she acts so much younger then she really is! She has a wonderful spirit about her! I've always said we are kindred spirits because of how much we are alike! (I'm a pretty lucky girl to be so much like both of my Grandma's actually!)

Here she is getting a little chocked up about how much she is loved...
Cutting the cake... YUM!
Simply lovely!

Julio and I scanned in a ton of pictures that included my Grandma. (I just happen to have a box full of her pictures that I just haven't scanned in yet.) With the pictures, I printed and either framed them or put them in photo albums for everyone to look at, which made for some wonderful conversations! We also had a nice slide-show going with music that my Grandma grew up listening to. I also framed a picture of my Grandma with her either one of her two husbands and put one on each table. At the end of the party, each of my uncles, my aunt, and my mom got to take one home with them along with a CD with all the scanned pictures! It was a wonderful party and I was happy when my Grandma was so grateful for all that I had done.

Here are just a few of the pictures that I scanned...
My Grandma with her 4 living children...
Grandma & my mom

My Grandparents before my Grandpa passed away...

Uncle Scott, Grandma, and Uncle Kurt
(I never met my Uncle Kurt...
he died in a car accident on Xmas Eve)

Oh how much the family has changed...
(I wasn't yet thought of :( sniff)

This is the Grandpa I knew and loved!
(He passed away right after Kaydence was born last year)
